I have been reading alot of good things about him. That he would be an impact player this year. I just wanted to know what any of you have seen or heard?

Let's put it this way.

A few months before we received his commitment Bran (Porter) made the comment that he thought Marcel would be the sleeper of the class and very likely the best player of the class.

I hadn't paid very close attention to Marcel up until he said that—I started.

I hate making comparisons to other players but in this case it is probably warranted. I am of the belief he has the opportunity to be the best defensive lineman to come out of the SEC since Glenn Dorsey (before he was chop-blocked.) And, has a chance to be even better than Dorsey.

The thing is, Marcel is going to be a defensive end (or is now at least) in our scheme. I think Dont'a Hightower is probably going to be a first round draft pick when he enters the NFL draft. I think the same with Marcel.

Nice to hear that, Terry. I got huge expectations on Dareus since his great perfomance (and projection) on the few times he stayed on the field last season.

Seems like I remember someone on here saying, back when he signed, that his film looked almost cartoonish. Said he would just demolish O-linemen like he was on fire but that he took too many plays off.

All I know is that he looks the part and have heard he is one of the strongest players in the weight room.
