If you haven't heard or aren't aware, Verizon is experiencing an outage.

And here's the weird part...my phone has no cell service, but my mom's does. And the even weirder part...she's on MY plan. I pay for her phone and her service. So can anyone tell me why MY phone has no service but hers does? It just blows my mind.

Same thing on my end. We pay for my Mom's service, she's on our Verizon plan. She has cell service but we don't... though she is 200 miles away, so I figure her area has less of an outage. But we are both in the dark red on that map you linked.

Outages don’t occur by account. Outages occur by geography. Does your mom live with you? Even if you’re in close proximity you could be affected differently by the nearby towers.

Literally. I waited until Monday to talk to T-Mo. It switches to the off shore on weekends. Their call center used to be a Super K. It's two miles from me...basketball courts on the outside for breaks. That damn hallow ball shit over a net (can't think of ...Pringle ball?) Starting at $33 an hour right now.
