Offense will be the same. Sark will change the way he calls the game. We might work the clock little longer and use RB little more. Which isn't bad at all.
I watch the tape of the second half this morning. There was one drop of a catchable ball. The third-quarter looked pretty good. No major problems. There was a string of bad throws in the fourth quarter. Not that terrible though. We are just spoiled by Tua. Lol
Mac is a good QB. Big difference between the two in passing that I have seen is Tua is much better at hitting small windows and leading the receiver so they can run the ball for larger chunks. Offense will be slower as a result I think but still capable of putting up points. I do chalk up some of the difference not just to ability but to time with the receivers in practice. Timing is huge and Mac getting to work full time with them as the first string will improve that.
Natural ability aside, Mac simply does not have the experience so he is not going to recognize some things the DC throw at him. Will take longer to adjust real time.
Come on.... everyone was ready for this game to end....msu...bama...me..you...
Nick..... shout out to msu fans....cowbelled Tua as he was leaving....in a great way.. a most respectable salute.....thanks
If we, as Bama fans, expect him to perform like Tua, we are all in for a rude awakening. Coach Sark, will have to use plays that MJ is comfortable in running, that he can have success running and plays that he can build on throughout the game. The bottom line is he is our QB against WCU on Saturday.
I fully expect him to be in a much more controlled offense (call it management if you wish) by: running the ball more, passing the ball but probably shorter routes early and then moving to longer throws and using the clock as much as possible. Of course, I could be dead wrong.
This game is not about WCU but its a game to get him playing time and confidence needed for the Iron Bowl. I wish him the very best!
#10 was signed as a roster filler in 2018 because of the number of QB's that left town mad. Jalen,Tua,and Mac were the only QB's on the roster in 2017. Bama isn't in a position of strength at QB going forward. If this QB from Cal decides to go elsewhere then Nick has to find another guy and quick. Tyson is a roster filler with Mack and Taulie the guys for 2020.
Ain't a big deal... Told the group "that's your argument" 15 minutes before I read it...my snicker ... during an obit discussion...hell, typing it makes it funnier.
