🏈 LT and RT speculation

With a lot left to be known about Cam's status, I'm curious how the coaches would respond to the potential loss of now two tackles. Without Cam, are we looking at Cotton and Williams at LT and Kirvin and Green at RT?

I don't see Cam missing much time. I think the gun charge gets minimized and weed is not a big deal. If indeed the chargers are dropped to misdemeanors, he should be back sooner than later.

In case that doesn't happen tho -

Seems like Williams is a sure thing at one of the tackle spots...

Obviously Cotton will get a look at RT, but starting 2 inexperienced guys at both tackles is asking a lot.

I like the idea of Greene getting a look at either tackle spot. He came in as a tackle and has some experience working there. Plus he's got game experience as the blocking TE for the last 2 seasons. They have him listed at 307 lbs... So he's still got the size.

I still think Piersbacher would be the best tackle option, but it seems like the staff really values him at Center. Very important position.

Kirven seems like such a long shot to me. But shit, enough guys go down and he will get his shot lol.

Just a total shame that it never worked out for Grant Hill... He got legit snaps as a true freshman.

My best guess at a depth chart without Cam...

LT: Jonah Williams / Brandon Greene
LG: Lester Cotton / Bradley Bozeman
Center: JC Hassenahauer / Ross Piersbacher
RG: Alphonse Taylor / Bradley Bozeman
RT: Ross Piersbacher / Korren Kirven

I think Greene lines up on the 2nd team at RT. Kirven at LT. Matt Womack and incoming true Freshman Scott Lashley are wildcards.

Good call... Haven't heard much about Womack but he is a monster human being. Lashley not probably has better technique but as a freshman who didn't early enroll, that would be tough. Thank goodness Jonah Williams did!
