Most LSU fans don't hate Saban for leaving LSU for the pros, but they were pissed that when he came back he came to the SEC West, and Bama at that--we knew what a good coach he was and that now he was in a position at a school with talent and tradition that we had to play EVERY FREAKIN' YEAR!
That is why we choose to--hate is such a strong word...--"dislike in a major" way all those traits of his that we loved when he was our coach.
I think it is hate when alot of your fans come into the stadium wearing shirts that profess "Saban is a douche" or F@$% Saban! That isn't a strong dislike!! That is downright classless!!! I am not irritated at you parrot. You seem to be civil in you posts from what I have read so far. My opinion may change, but right now you are ok.
Yikes! I'll try to stay on my best behavior--It's always fun to rap with the opposing fans before a big game. I usually try to hang with opposing fans when they come to Baton Rouge for games--makes 'em feel welcome and balances out those a-holes who wear shirts like the ones you're describing. Believe me, I've been cursed out by the drunken frat boys at Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, etc.--I don't believe in coming on to an opposing board just to stir the proverbial crap.
As I said before, I don't hate Saban--I still have a poster he signed on my wall--got him to write "Remember the Process" on it and use it on my staff all the time. I just don't like that we have to play against him annually. I'd rather fight a team coached by Muschamp and Weiss or Spurrier every year.

same here. I have a brother that actually pulls for Alabama because of Saban. He prefers LSU over Bama when they play eachother, but any other week, when Bama wins he cheers them on. If LSU wins this game, great!. If Alabama wins, I hope they go on and smash what ever crappy team the rest of the our nation spits out to play the SEC in the NC game.

That movie sucked. I remember seeing it in the theater and being really disappointed.
LSU plays 4 man front on defense Bama plays 3 man front. So our 3 men have held oppnents to lower rushing stats than the 4 men LSU put out there. odd how that is adavantage LSU. #7 isn't effective unless he is stripping the ball from a ball carrier. trying to rip it from trent he could damage tendons and maybe pull back a nub at the wrist. #7 can't cover and can't tackle. without the interceptions and fumbles he is nothing.
Well no, thats why the D-Line comparisons are so hard... we run a 3-4, they run a 4-3... our Linebackers have so much to do with the the run defense, even more so than 4-3 defenses, far more. But I do think in terms of talent, LSU has a deeper D-Line than we do. But that doesn't mean they get the advantage in run defense, I think we still have the better Run D. Best in the nation actually.

It's fun to discuss Bama and LSU and compare their players and stats. But it's ultimately meaningless. None of it will matter when they tee it up on November 5th.
Both teams have shown that they are extremely good. Both teams have steamrolled opponents. You have two extremely good teams playing each other, and you never know what will happen.
When the game gets underway at Bryant Denny Stadium, it won't matter how many td's Jarrett Lee threw in his previous eight games, how many tackles Dont'a Hightower had coming into the game, etc. All that matters is what happens during the current game. Whoever executes the best on that day will win, regardless of any predictions or statistical analysis.
In the words of Nick Saban, it's all about execution, and finishing plays. The team that executes the best and finishes the best will win.

I can't say I agree with your assessment that Bama only has a slight advantage at RB. Trent has almost double the yardage of your best RB and 1 touchdown shy of triple the touchdowns. Eddie Lacy is only 47 yards away from Ware and has more yards than any of your other backs.
As for receivers, each team has 8 receivers (including RB's that have caught passes) that have at least one touchdown this year. LSU only has 4 receivers with more than 100 yards receiving while Bama has 8. Bama has almost 400 more yards receiving than LSU does.
As for QB's, McCarron has a higher completion percentage and that is with 36 more completions and 45 more attempts than Lee. Jefferson only has 6 completions for 123 yards and just a little over 100 yards rushing. I just don't see how Jefferson is going to give us much trouble. I would say if anything the QB comparison you proclaim is very inflated.
