šŸ’¬ LSU Ath Dept bans bands fro halftime: UPDATE: LSU changes its mind on band policy

Ya know, I have a buddy that marched in the MDB that told me crazy shit about playing LSWho road games. Those stupid, inbred coonasses would do shit like spitting loogies on, and throwing Ziploc bags full of piss on the band as they were lining up to march onto the field.

It wouldn't surprise me if LSWho brass received numerous complaints about shit like that from opponents bands. So knowing they can't control their idiot fans' behavior, they just keep opponents bands off the field.

Bitch move.

all other sec teams should respond in kind.....

by refusing to offer tickets to their fans that want to travel to away games. and if they see someone wearing an lsu shirt while trying to get into the game, refuse them entry and say it's for their own safety.

and if they have a problem with it?

fuck 'em, it's lsu. they're the lowest common denominator, anyway.

Two bits of good news. Alabama will most likely still send a smaller band to the game so "HEY TIGERS!" will still be heard. I guarantee you that most SEC schools will likely apply the same logic to LSU's band specifically.

What bandmember's safety exactly are they concerned about? Those fighting tigers are about to dissolve what little goodwill they have stored up in the SEC.

This one's perhaps.

Why did LSU really want the Alabama band to stay home? I'll give you a hint: It begins, "HEY TIGERS!" Knowing that they couldn't single out ours, they took the extraordinary step of effectively excluding everybody's band.

Read that they travel their band to only one road game per season. This gives them the excuse to eliminate that one also.

Avella strikes again! ;)

On Friday, The Advocate reported that LSU instituted a policy last season that prevented visiting team’s bands from performing at halftime due to safety reasons.

After realizing the effectiveness of this rule, LSU decided to take things one more step to display their strenuous measures to protect safety.
More from Bama Hammer
A source within the athletic department informed us that the Alabama football team would not be allowed to perform on the field in Tiger Stadium from this point forward.
ā€œFor the last several seasons, most LSU fans knew what was coming when the Tide came to Baton Rouge. With this knowledge, there were always safety concerns as so many inebriated LSU fans stampeded toward the gates to make their early exits and get to their waiting piroguesā€, the source said.
The source also indicated that without the Alabama football team on hand for the game, LSU fans could sit and enjoy the entirety of the game in a relaxed state and get to see their Heisman hopeful running back rush for more than 93 feet against an Alabama football team that wasn’t present.
Other SEC teams may soon follow with the new ruling which in turn, could help the Tigers to at least get to play for the college football national championship that has eluded them since the 2007 season.

In case you are wondering, none of this is true except that LSU did ban visiting team’s bands from performing at halftime because they are concerned with safety hate college football and all of its pageantry.

LSU just had an addition to their stadium. Along the way of its construction, one of the comments made had to do with Bama fans and how far up they were going to be moved on game days.

The new seating was in place last year. Did the opposing bands get relocated as well?
