They too shall wander as a man lost in the wilderness just as the orange clad ones in the city on the hill have. Their wandering shall be accompanied with tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth and their team shall be ripped asunder as the dawgs in the east.

I thought he was snug up until this past Saturday. But a loss to OM, and not just a loss, but one where they were never in the game, puts it in a different perspective. I think it is 50/50 at this point.

It's pretty much official IMO at this point. Nola, Yahoo, even ESPN, have all said the 15M buyout is not a big deal and the two will part ways after the year.

How spoiled are LSU fans to get rid of the HC that has the most wins in their history?
TBH, even though the guy is their winningest HC in program history, has an NC ring, etc., the LSU program has been on a skid since 21-0 happened. They almost get back to being the LSU of old this year and the wheels come off after a loss. This has been the trend of the LSU program since 2011.

Although the man has won 10 games a year on average in his time there, LSU's current talent and recruiting pool make it a 12+ win program like Alabama is year in and year out. Having had Nick Saban and Les Miles(in his prime) they've seen what is possible and they aren't content to settle for less. I can't blame them for that. The most interesting part, if they part ways, is can they land a Jimbo Fisher level coach.

I'm pretty sure LSU had has the most former players now in the NFL, for the second year in a row. That's pretty dang impressive. Heck, Georgia is tied with us for 4th and they've had less success than Miles at LSU. I feel that talent would have had another championship or 2 had Saban not been in the same division. Almost certainly the 2011 season. I understand their frustrations, but he's done a pretty nice job there. Had you rather be a Georgia fan or a LSU fan, based on your coaches during their tenure?

Hey, at least Miles can beat teams from the east! Man, the last 2 years the east has been abysmal vs the west. What 11-2 so far this year with one game to play (Mizzou and Arky)? Hopefully I added correctly.... I think the west was 12-2 last year as well. That's extremely lopsided.

Let's say he is out after this season.... where do you think he ends up?

Unless he takes a large step back to a lesser school, I don't think he coaches in the SEC for a different team. I could see Fitzgerald taking another job and then Miles taking over at Northwestern.... maybe Vatech even.

Did it before. Charlie McClendon was the old record holder. Couldn't beat the 'Bear'...gone.

I believe Charlie Mac still holds the record for most wins in LSU history, doesn't he? He was at LSU for 17 or 18 years. I want to say Les would need another four 9-10 wins seasons to get that record.

Not saying it would happen, but I could see him comfortable at Mizzou, and them liking his recruiting connections. He's spent a lot of time in the midwest as well.
