It takes Eleven got me to thinking after reading through the thread about "your first Bama game".

What was the loudest game you ever been to at BDS? Since BDS has been our only home spot since around 2003...this will be modern era poll.

#1. Has to be the second blocked field goal by Terrence Cody in 2009. Never heard anything as loud as that day.
#2. Bama Florida game with the infamous "last game" of Tyrone Prothro 2005. Place was rocking till that play.
#3. Post game Rammer Jammer against UT in 2005. Years of frustration was released on that cool October afternoon.
#4. Bama/OK game 2003. Played a good game (in a loss) which took a trick play by OK to beat us. Loud game.
#5. Maybe not the loudest, but the longest RJ I ever sang was in 2008 after beating the boogs. Stopped the streak.

What is your top 5?

Florida game in 05 has to be the loudest I've experienced in BDS. It is also the most quiet I've heard it get when Prothro went down.

Yea that RJ after snapping the streak to the boogs was the best yet!! We celebrated at my B-I-L frat house until the wee hours of the morning. So many upside down faced boogs walked the long walk of shame to their cars. It was great!

'94 game versus Georgia

That 2010 Iron Bowl....FK I hate that we lost but man I have never seen a stadium more electric
2007 and 2011 versus LSU
2011 versus Arkansas

A lot of our loudest games have been losses. I remember going to the OT game versus Georgia back in 07. That whole year BDS was rocking.

I didn't go to it, but some of my friends who attend UA said the 2010 game versus Penn State was insane.

My top 5:

1. '03 versus Oklahoma
2. South Carolina 03-04 I think???
3. 2010 IB....Still to this day the best college atmosphere game I have ever attended.
4. '94 Georgia
5. 05 versus Tennessee..Stadium was rocking the entire game

It's not even close for me, the 2005 Florida game was off the charts. The stadium rocked the entire game until Pro went down. The. It was silent the last few minutes. But we didn't even sit down at halftime. It was nuts.

LSU in 2007 was also nuts. Especially when Arenas returned that punt to the house. UT in 2005 was ok though the game was kinda boring. I think it ended 6-3 or something. Went nuts when DJ caught that bail Mary on the sideline with a out a minute left.

No one mentioned 2005 LSU that we lost. We had maybe the best defensive lineup ever that year but our O sucked when Pro went down. Jamarcus came to town and we held him in check til the very end. Even sent to OT if I remember right. But the place was going nuts. That was the game the big plane did the flyover and seemed to be way too low. Super exciting game.

I was at that game (odd in those days that that game took place in BDS) I heard "Sweet Home Alabama" being played solid from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham. BTW it took about 4-5 hours to get to Birmingham because the traffic was that bad after that game.

The last three home LSU games have been nuts in terms of game time noise. Full game, the FL game in 05. Loudest moments for me include the Julio catch and run in the LSU game, the 09 UT FL block, and the INT or fumble return for a TD in the OT loss to UGA. At Legion Field, the noise during and after Jelks' long 4th quarter run was incredible, and of course Tiffin's FG topped it at the end. I'm sure there are other Iron Bowl high water marks in terms of noise.

RTR,

Tim
