🏈 Looking back at the SB AFC lost in 90s

Saw number of SB recordings of 90s SuperBowls which AFC lost.

I saw how John Elway and Jim Kelly got mauled in those games. However interesting comparison with Brady's superbowl was how despite getting mauled earlier in game Brady, his OL, play calling, WR not dropping single ball, rules changes over years helped Brady perform so well in second half.

Seems like the other AFC losers did not elevate their play during the game. And one superbowl Bills lost just due to Thurman Thomas.

Of all the Super Bowls New England has been in I've often wondered why all their games were a dogfight either way. Even the games won were never in dominant fashion. Possibly their greatest team that went into the Super Bowl undefeated was beaten by a very average NY team.

2017 - NE 34 vs Atl 28
2015 - NE 28 vs Seattle 24
2005 - NE 24 vs Philadelphia 21
2004 - NE 32 vs Carolina 29
2002 - NE 20 vs St louis 17

So the consensus is that NE has never beaten an NFC team by at least a touchdown in any Super Bowl. Most of their victories have been only a field goal difference. Tom Terrific in the Super Bowl, not so much.
