🏈 Look at this. Dec. 4th, there's a chance football and basketball will play the #1 team in the nation that Saturday.

Well. Hush my puppy. Somebody finally agreed. Lol
You and I agree a lot more than you and Terry :). I just think Bama Football does not take a back seat anytime even in a perceived down year. Like UK basketball always goes into a game with a shot. Our BBall program does not have that history so playing at that level is the exception not the rule. Bama football has and does play at the elite level as the norm.

I 1000% agree with you on this. I do my best not to get into discussions with other fanbases on this because they love to talk trash and run their mouth's, but deep down they know they would not want their Conference Championship or Playoff lives going through Tuscaloosa. They are all like that guy that runs his mouth to you until you get in his face about it then they go silent.

I am on the side of "that's a game they're supposed to win" versus "that's a game they'd lose in the past."
Definitely Bama BBall is improving. Lost in the dark dungeon of the last 20 years is a basketball program that is 2nd best in the SEC. It is not like they have NO tradition just none at an elite across the NCAA. With that said I would put my money more on Bama football taking care of business on any given Saturday against any opponent. Not the same for BBall....

Here's where we don't see eye to eye.

What bearing does the results of Alabama basketball, five years ago, have to do with the team, staff, and program today?

I see fans still recovering from 'Shulaitis' and to me it seems there's a lot of 'Hobbsitis' remaining in the hoops fan base. 🤷‍♂️

Mindset is what I would say. Is it the cultural norm for a team to be in these positions and have they had success doing so? Team to team I understand your point but when Bama is in a tight game at the championship level in football they have been there done that as a program so this their norm. That is my point. Still have to prepare and do all the things necessary to win the game but even the prep is the norm for them because they know how to do it. Probably not explaining myself well but I have seen it time after time where a program was new to the scene and playing lights out but on the big stage they are not able to pull it out.
