LOOK: Alabama fan worried about ‘language barrier’ for Hawaiian Tua Tagovailoa after seeing QB point to WR

Alabama’s backup QB Tua Tagovailoa is a true freshman adjusting to college life, but one fan has a unique concern about Tagovailoa’s transition.

A poster with the handle Chattown Tider on Bama OnLine’s message board inquired about a perceived language barrier in asking about Tagovailoa’s “transition to the states” and his communication. The poster also noted that the young QB did “point to receivers a couple of times,” and that may tip off defenses if it continues.

Here is the whole post that was shared on Twitter:

Tagovailoa was a 5-star recruit from Honolulu, Hawaii which is indeed a part of the United States. It’s worth noting Hawaii does have two official languages (Hawaiian and English), but there is likely no language barrier involved in Tagovailoa’s transition.

Tagovailoa saw his first game action against Fresno State, and he demonstrated an ability to move the ball with the offense. He completed 6 of 9 passes for 64 yards and a TD.
Paul Harvey lives in Atlanta, GA and covers SEC football.

You see stupid things like that you want to say its a troll... but there are so many unbelievably ignorant people in this world I can actually believe its real.

My immediate thoughts!! Troll BUT like you said, A LOT of ignorant people out there!!! Scarier thought........those summbitches have reproduced!!!!

You would hope that most people know that we are about the only nation that speaks one language ... Most people outside the U.S. speak their native tongue and also speak English.

Wouldn't take this guy five damn seconds to YouTube "Tua" and find a video of the many interviews he's conducted as a big time recruit and even as Alabama quarterback to hear his English. Hell, even during the Spring game they offered a clip where he shows how to pronounce his last name. If it's a troll job, it would make sense, if just an ignorant fool, gracious alive like @uagrad93 said.
