Man, what a decade the 2000's were for us! From the bottom falling out in the 2000 season, the firing of Dubose, the hiring of Fran, the over-the-top probation, Fran bolting, the Price hire, the Price fire, the Shula days, the Saban hire, all leading up to the National Championship Game! Wow. It seems like 2000 was 30 years ago with what all has gone on in the program. I don't know of any other program in the history of the game that has gone through everything that Bama went through in 1 decade! Saban is without a doubt pure genius.

I hope Alabama does 2 things next time they hire a coach:

1. Follow the same philosophy about money. (ie, drop pants, bend over policy)
2. Get Saban to hand pick the coach he would hire. (I am sure Saban will play a heavy role in the coach that replaces him.)
