🏈 Like it or not, 'roster management' rules here to stay

The topic of oversigning dominated much of the conversation surrounding college football this spring even with NCAA investigations swirling from Columbus, Ohio, to Knoxville, Tenn. It was the topic de jour at the Southeastern Conference Spring Meetings in Destin, Fla., in June. So much so that SEC presidents unanimously voted to cap football signing classes at 25, two years after they had chosen to limit them to 28.

It was such a hot-button issue that it nearly overshadowed other pieces of legislation that originated from the sandy shores of Destin. The Tuscaloosa News secured each piece of new legislation as well as legislation that the conference will submit at the NCAA national convention in Indianapolis in January.
