He enrolled in summer (didn't join in January) and is putting up some impressive play considering.

Against Miss State, he had 2 tackles for a loss (-21 yards), two quarterback hurries, and a sack (-8 yds).

He has my vote for biggest surprise on the defensive side of the ball this year. Meaning, I didn't think he'd step in this quick.

And, we recruited him outta Louisiana

agreed... i was so happy for him getting that sack against state. you could just see the joy in him when he realized he was free to run straight at russell.

A few LSU fans I've ran into have mentioned welcoming Landon to Death Valley. His commitment is one they are in angst over largely due to them being out of the picture when DD was down to his final two. It's one of those "if we wanted him we'd have pursued him stronger."

For that reason, I'd like to see him have a good game this weekend.
