🏈 Lets see your favorite bama plays of all time

Although there was dude waxing dramatics near the end of this one, among my all timers is Paul Ott Carruth's obliteration of AA Kevin Porter for a TD. First minute covers it.

Tim

^^^ That is usually the first one I think about! :td:

It is what I would add as well.

I don't think I've ever been more proud of a Bama player than I was of Teague for the way he played that entire game. A couple of plays before, he had intercepted that ball and high-stepped into the end zone. He was tired, yet he ran down the so-called "fastest man in football".

Here's a link to an article last summer by Kausler remembering that play

http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2011/08/alabama_ultimate_moment_the_st.html

Funny quote:
Teague believes The Strip made him an NFL first-round draft choice. Several years later, he signed as a free agent with the Miami Dolphins. Thomas was a teammate.
"Every time I was in the locker room, if Lamar was somewhere and I was heading that direction, all the guys said, 'Hey, Lamar, watch out! Teague's behind you!'"

This one probably isn't as special to others as it is to me - this was my first Alabama game, and I have a vivid image in my head of this play - something I will never forget.

One more old school.

I remember that well. I had a perfect view of the presentation of the trophy to Bryant. If you go to the 3:30 mark of this video, you can see a 14-year-old me! I was wearing a crimson colored wind breaker [it was in the dome, but that was the best Bama gear I had at the time so I had to wear it. LOL] and standing below the stage, right behind the bald guy who is on stage. I am the one raising my index finger into the air. If you then go to the 3:40 mark, you can see another shot where I'm trying to get up onto the stage. The video doesn't show it, but I did finally make it up there. One of the Bama players (seems like it was either LaBue or Boles) actually helped me up onto the stage. You can see him standing behind me. Jim Lampley is the guy with his back turned who was interviewing Bryant. I had nothing but memories of that event until this video showed up on Youtube a few years ago and I just happened to stumble across it.

That was the first time I got up close to Bryant like that. What a thrill. I was standing right next to him for a while. Later that same year I would actually get to meet him one-on-one and shake his hand in the parking lot out in front of Coleman Coliseum as he was coming out of his office.

Here another one 1979 Bama over LSU 3-0. You can see the rain didn't let up. One reason I pick this one I got up at 2 a. m. to lister to the game on AFN. I was station in Germany at this time.

I love Rocky Stop and The Catch mainly because I was in the student section at the time. Also there for that Arky game posted just a little above (exciting game, but really didn't like giving up that lead).
