I never have gotten into it. I carried my father in law to the club once. We walked over every square inch of the property. We got on a big gobbler. He told me to crawl up on my belly and shoot him when he gave me the chance. That old gobbler was putting on a show for a couple of hens, all blown up and strumming. He turned his tail to me and I hopped up on one knee and put 3 in his ass. He flew off and I got 2 more rounds in my gun and fired again. My father in law says, "you're supposed to shoot him in the head, not the ass!" My response was, "you didn't tell me that!!"
I had my son sitting on a stand this past fall and we had 21 come into the field. It looked like a teacher leading her class out there. There were 2 small jakes in the group. We've got a problem with coyotes there. We're going down the next weekend or two to see if we can put a dent in their population.

coyotes will put a hurting on those turkey's plus they are always fun to shoot
as many rounds as you can get, we usually shoot them with a .243, we usually see them in groups of 3
That sks should work fine, just be ready to shoot at a moving target
