🏈 Let it sink in. For the 6th time in the last nine years Bama will play for the national title.

“What are you doing here? Tell me why you are here. If you are not here to win a national championship, you’re in the wrong place. You boys are special. I don’t want my players to be like other students. I want special people. You can learn a lot on the football field that isn’t taught in the home, the church, or the classroom. There are going to be days when you think you’ve got no more to give and then you’re going to give plenty more. You are going to have pride and class. You are going to be very special. You are going to win the national championship for Alabama.”............Coach Bryant

They flashed a stat up last night and I can not find it. I think CNS is 8-2 against AP#1 teams and no other current coach has more than 4 wins.
@TerryP can you verify?
That's close, though not sure of the exact number. I want to say he's now 6-1 at Bama and had two when at Michigan State (OSU) and LSU (OU.)

Last year lost to Clemson at #1. I can't think of who the second would be.

Yup, he's 8-2 @#80 @TerryP

Ah, I remember that now! That was the year following the blood bath we saw when Nebraska ran over Florida in Sun Devil Stadium. The game sticks out because Nebraska lost in '96 to either Arizona or Arizona State early on in the season. If I remember this correctly, it was the week following their game with Michigan State.
