Even after getting completely shut down by Alabama Wisconsin’s Corey Clement is still trying to talk trash.

Wisconsin’s ā€œstarā€ running back Corey Clement had 8 carries for 16 yards against Alabama’s defense; now that’s getting shut down. Corey Clement might have been stopped on the field, but his mouth still hasn’t stopped off the field. When asked what as difficult about running between the tackles against Alabama Clement told AL.com:

ā€œIt was nothing difficult, It was just we haven’t found our groove yet.ā€

If it was ā€œnothing difficultā€ then I imagine you should have had a better game. If Alabama wasn’t a tough opponent, and their defense wasn’t difficult, then the responsibility for sucking must be… yours? Right Corey?

You may remember Corey Clement as being the running back who said that because Ohio State beat Alabama then Wisconsin could… a sentiment shared by some Wisconsin fans.

Wisconsin has a pretty weak schedule form this point out, so I’m sure Clement will do much better in the future than he did against Alabama. It won’t be because he’s great though, it will be because the competition is weak.

Clement doesn’t seem like the sharpest or best leader. Melvin Gordon was great, because he did his talking on the field. Maybe Clement should shut his mouth and take a lesson from a running back that actually earned respect instead of trying to manufacture it with big talk.

Clement and opposing fans can talk all they want, Alabama had the most convincing victory of the opening weekend. I’d be surprised not to see the Tide rising to #2 in most polls this week.
