🏈 Last team to go 0-16 in SEC play in basketball?

They had a good chance at home against the barn but collapsed in the last minute of the game. You are right on about who they have a chance to beat.

I think it was 1991 when Arky and SC joined the league and we went to the 16 game confernce schedule (it was 18 before that). As far as I know, no SEC school has lost all 16.

I tried googling and came up with nothing so you're probably right. We desperately need to win this game on Saturday. We need to start beating the teams we are obviously better than on the road. I don't expect it to be easy though. The Aubs have been taking it to us lately in hoops.

I didn't know you were a Saints fan, me too. WHO DAT.

I am a contrarian. Back when the Saints and Falcons were both expansion teams a lot of folks around here took up with the Falcons, but I went with the Saints. Anyone want to buy a paper bag with eyeholes cut in it?

I think it will take 9 SEC wins to get us in the NCAA picture. We should be favored in the return game with Arkansas, both Auburn games and versus Georgia, though that is over there. If we can win those we still need two more wins, and we'll have to beat good teams to get them. Not an easy task. At Kentucky, at SC, Fla at home, at MSU and home and home with Ole Miss.

Has it ever even happened?

I actually think LSU has a good chance of accomplishing this feat. Check out the schedule. They better beat Arky or UGA at home because I can't see them winning any other game.

Has it ever even happened?

None of the current members have ever gone winless in a full season. Sewanee was in the SEC for 8 seasons from 1932-1940 with an overall record of 3-76. They were 1-7 in the '34-'35 season, 2-10 in the '37-'38 season, and winless in the other 6 seasons. GT was 0-14 in the '53-'54 season.

Several of the current members have gone with just one win over the years including Bama and the barn. The barn was 1-15 in the '46-'47 season, and Bama was 1-17 in the '68-'69 season.

LSU is going to slip up and beat someone not looking. I'd be willing to bet they could beat S. Carolina or Arkansas. No kidding. Carolina is not that good. But they have Devan Downey, and they have a nice home court advantage. Carolina won't be a tourney team, imho. Unfortunately neither will Alabama be, this year.

Never have cared for the Saints or Falcons myself. I wasn't an NFL fan until I lived in Charlotte and began attending Panthers games. Now, I am a lifelong Panthers fan. This year sucked, but they still got to .500, and beat dem Saints to end the year (yes, without Drew Brees and everyone else). Still, we'll take it. Hearing that Tebow might be the Pathers QB!

As bad as LSU is, I just don't see them going 0-16. 1-15, 2-14, or MAYBE 3-13. Somebody will let their guard down. What's even more amazing is that LSU are the defending SEC champs!
