🏈 Lane Kiffin stiff arming on the sideline

Man, I know his play calling is suspect at times.

But seeing him get pumped and celebrate like that, sprinting down the sideline chasing the big play, over the successful play of one of his players makes you really like the guy. He really does love the kids, and loves seeing them have success.

It's gonna be cool to have a 2nd Heisman winner under his tutelage. Actually, May be a third. Bush, Leinhart, and King Henry (hopefully).

I once knocked an official out during a game while coaching HS. One of my DBs had made a pick and I was running down the sideline screaming, "bingo! bingo! bingo!" and giving my best 3rd base coach windmill to score. On the change of possession, the official on our sideline, cut back and was running inside our coaching box. My left elbow caught him perfectly in the temple, causing him to be knocked out cold!! I thought I had hit another coach and asked him if he was OK. He said he was fine but "that guy there was f'd up!! The damn guy came to and I was apologizing and he explained that it was his fault and not mine. The dude was bleeding from his ear as well. He said that in his 25+ years of calling football, he had been trampled in piles, hit by crossing WRs, etc. but that was the HARDEST he had ever been hit on a field!!

The dude has enthusiasm, for sure.

That (and an incredibly high offensive football IQ) is my favorite thing about him.

When he splits this year, I will have the sadz, but hope that Bama would throw as much money as it takes to bring Gruden to Bama. Only guy alive that could match the crazy enthusiasm for the game and the offensive vision. I love watching MNF with Gruden. He sees and calls the plays before they happen. He's bat schit crazy but a fricking savant when it comes to xs and os. Longshot, but he'd be my #1 replacement Christmas wish.

If Gruden annually turns down HCing positions around not only in CFB, but NFL too, why would he come to 'Bama to be a OC?

Much less pressure directly on him as an OC vs a HC and $$$ (as much as it takes)

Dude, Gruden gets paid $4.3 million just to do Monday Night Football for 17 weeks. The move wouldn't make sense at all. If somehow Jay Gruden is fired from Washington, which is highly unlikely seeing how they're improving, then that could be a potential get. But John isn't going to a HCing job, much less, become an OC.

Kiffin is great to watch on the sidelines as he does stuff like this, runs down the sidelines when I guy gets loose, pumps his fist, jumps on guys like Kirby does. All those jet sweeps and hitch passes get me pissed, but I do love his enthusiasm and relating to the players.

Bro, its my Christmas wish. It doesn't have to make sense.

Honestly, can't believe ESPN has him getting 4+ million a year. That is crazy.
