People and water are the same. They both choose the path of least resistance. Lane said we were going to win cause we have the best players. SO he felt like less work more play but less work and more play sounds like a Mark Richt team. The best 10-2 team in the country with no NC to show.

Personally, I don't think that's a fair shake. He's is not the one that brings up Bama. He's asked his opinion(s) on Bama.

I agree! After his team won their conference, a reporter asked him specifically, "did you hear the crowd chanting "we want BAMA! and what did you think?" Every interview has 3-4 questions about his FAU team and then the next 10-15 minutes are spent asking about his time with Saban and BAMA.

I listen to LeBatard. It's not a daily thing, but at least two or three times a week I'll tune in to see what he has going on that day. I recall an interview he did with Lane in the first week of December where they discussed where FAU was in the polls (and who voted for them) for about three minutes and the remaining time (13-15 minutes) he field questions about Bama.

After reading the story, it appears to me, that most of it is tongue and cheek comments.
He's been on Dan's show quite a bit. The vast majority of their conversations are tongue and cheek. I don't make anything of it. Not a darn thing.

Dan does throw out a loaded question when he asks about "how it was going into work with such a bad environment (that Saban created) and how miserable are you?" That turns into "Lane says he was miserable at Bama." Dan's prefaced questions, about Lane and Bama, with comments like "when Saban ran you off before the game..."

Dan being Dan. Lane being Lane. Again, not a big thing as far as I'm concerned although I am seeing what I'd call "SDS content" here. (No coincidence the author is from SDS.)

Well going from having the keys to the ship to being first or second mate is not a fun trip. I'm sure he was miserable relinquishing all of that power he had and calling the shots without answering to anyone else.

Lane was just on JOX a few minutes ago.

Was effusive in his praise of CNS early in the segment, yet when asked about the chewing out of Daboll he said that it was ridiculous that Nick was that way and not many folks manage in that manner. Added that he felt sorry for Brian, but "it is what it is".

Then he ended with a Roll Tide.

In between loving and then dissing Nick he had a solid breakdown of the game, mentioned how well each staff knew the other (Tucker, Kirby and a former analyst on UGA staff, Pruitt recently with UGA and Nick having "taught" Kirby for 9 years) and how the game favored Alabama.

BTW, extremely complimentary of Jalen and his 1 pick this year. He said a lot of fans confused his holding the ball with not reading things well, when a lot of the time he just doesn't have his primary and is playing it safe. Lane's comment was "why not" with such a great defense?

All in all a good segment, but kind of hated his reaction to the ass chewing.

All of the interviews I have seen and heard from Kiffin up until now have usually been complementary. He usually speaks highly of Saban and the time he was at Bama. Im not sure the articles are conveying his true feelings of his time at Bama. The last interview I saw he spoke about how it was an honor to work under the greatest coach in college football and he appreciated Saban for giving him another chance and so forth......not sure where this interview is coming from.
