I do not like CBS. I was so hoping for the 6 pm ESPN time slot. Verne Lundquist irritates the piss out of me.

Well I don't have cable anymore so I can handle them. This is the first Thread I have started from my Android phone.

I dont mind Uncle Vern its Danielson I dont like to listen to. Sometimes, not very often, silence is golden with him.

How do you not like Verne or Gary? They are fun to listen to because they're not too serious and actually enjoy their jobs. I think Danielson knows his damn football and I don't think you can deny that. He is more enjoyable than Jesse Palmer, Brock Huard, and all those other lower end analyst we could get stuck listening to. I like these two, Herbie and Fowler, Musberger, Nessler and Todd Blackledge. Reese Davis is always fun to listen to as well. Y'all may not like the playfulness and goofiness they broadcast with, but I love listening to them. It helps me enjoy the game and take a break from the seriousness of the workplace we all see Monday-Friday. I hope they stick with CBS until the contract is up because I enjoy them and can argue against the naysayers all day long about them.

I thought they did a better job Saturday than in years past. Even Verne's stuttering didn't bother me...

They don't bother me. I think the only better duo, the best in fact, is Nessler and Blackledge. I haven't settled into Herbstreit and Fowler yet.

And I can't wait to crush Ole Miss's dreams.

I am not a huge fan of Verne and Gary, but Dave Neal and Andre Ware drive me crazy. Andre needs to realize that a few seconds of dead air between plays is not a bad thing. Nessler and Blackledge are still my favorites though.

It should be a law that whatever network broadcasts Alabama games, they should be required to use Ely.

If you have instant playback on your signal like DirectTv you can turn down those two and play the radio until you can get it to sync. I like to hear Ely. Also it makes the commercials hilarious.
