1)Rushing game was almost non-existent

2)Didn't get enough pressure on Matt Flynn

3)Wilson was sacked seven times

4)You can't give your opponent the ball at your three-yard line late in the fourth quarter of a tie game.

That should have been your number one. Man, that was a tough one. :(

That about sums it up...

You don't know how many times I was screaming "SACK HIM, SACK HIS A$$!" They just couldn't get to him.

I would also like to see a little better production from the kicking game. Some of those punts were a little too short for me.

All problems with controlling the line of scrimmage. Terry Grant (who i see as a space gtuy) never got the blocks on regularity to allow him to be utilized as a running back, Lowe seems more like a power guy, so that explains why he had a litte more success.

But we dont have the depht on both sides of the ball, we were missing key players on the O line tonight, and LSU has impressive talent and depth there(its their strength). So its understandable that we didnt execute as well as we wanted to, and I cant fault the guys that were outmatched.

Next year, I can say that with confidence.

The line had its good moments on the pass blocking from time to time, as far as run blocking, there was no good that I ever saw out of that. It will take more time before it all gets to clicking , but we are on the right path.

The main thing about the o-line is that we didn't have a lot of pressure when they only brought four.

They had to blitz for the pressure on Wilson. Although we did give up some sacks, it's hard to block 7 with 5.

Punting was huge. 33 yards a punt is average for high school. Had their return guys been prepared for 33 yard punts, our net would have been much worse. Since they give no replays at the stadium once a play is being reviewed, I don't know how they looked, but it's tough to have so many reversed.

We played a physically superior, but undisciplined, team. I was proud of the defense despite giving up some big plays. Between lack of offensive production and poor punting, they had their backs to the wall much of the game. It's always a game of inches, and we missed out this time.

14 for 40 passing and not being able to run the ball should you get you blown out 8 times out of 10. The defense forced turnovers and had 8 TFL. Gilberry was a man and Zeke stepped up several times. Nothing can be said about Arenas that hasn't already. Great returns, along with key breakups, made him a standout. I can't wait for him to return his first INT.

That's my view. Still in T-Town, getting ready to go to my folks for some home cooking.

RTR,

Tim

Reminiscent of the OU game a few years back when Tyler Watts fumbled late.

And I thought I was the only one that thought about that :)

3 of your points point in the direction to play at the L-O-S...we just couldn't compete on both sides of the ball.

This is the most pourous spot on the team that needs plugging. It started w/ Smith but we need more. It is just that simple folks.

Smith

Smith didn't seem to be play'n his best game. The kid needs help on the O-line. Right now he is the only player on the O-line that might play in the NFL someday. I can't see any of the others even play'n in the new AAFL.
