Kenyan Drake earns NFLPA Community MVP honor

Miami Dolphins running back Kenyan Drake is the NFL Players Association Community MVP for Week 16 of the 2017 season. The former Alabama standout held a Christmas event of food and fun for 125 youngsters at the Harold Reitman Boys and Girls Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Dec. 19.

Drake is a good guy and I will honestly say I didn't expect to see him perform as well as he has at running back. He didn't seem to have the patience and timing to pick his holes at Bama when he got the ball. And his career started out a lot like his career here. Derrick Henry is another back that just doesn't get enough touches to shine. Of all the places to get drafted, he had to go to a place that already had a fairly young all-pro running back. With Ingram running roughshod through the league, our guys are doing pretty good.

Agree Drake's production has been a little surprising. Bulked up a little and still has that speed. One of my all-time favorites at the Capstone. Henry should get some work this Sunday with Murray's strained knee ligament. Hope he shines.
