I'm not a big fan of the Heisman, but there is NO WAY Graham Harrell should not be a finalists. Just terrible IMO.

Guess who is yep TEBOW, might as well hand it to him. :roll: All Grahm did was leads the nation with 4,747 yards passing and has thrown 41 touchdown passes. Seems like someone last year had some numbers close to that and won... More info here

I agree he is and last year he won, with 40 tds. He does not have the numbers like last year and my point was Gram should have at least got an invite.

I think Mr. Harrell has graduated and been hired by Texas Tech University as their spokesperson.

If I am not mistaken, this is what has disqualified him from being able to take home the Auburn Heisman Award.

I am not sure who the QB will be in their bowl game.

It is entertaining how Pirate Leach had this to say:

Hmmm, seems like someone is stealing Coach Bryant's words about a certain player he coached at A&M. In fact, it is almost a word for word rip off.

Crabtree was snubbed more than Harrell, IMO. I'm pleased that they left him out, it actually restored a shed of dignity to the award, or at least the presentation show (for this year anyway). Harrell is the same QB as those before him... Cody Hodges, Sonny Cumbie, B.J. Symons, and Cliff Kingsbury. He is a system QB. Whoever replaces him, will put up very similar numbers, and so on and so forth. There are at least a dozen college QB's that are better players than Harrell.

The 3 guys that actually got invited, not only also put up impressive numbers, but all 3 are much better players who could thrive in multiple systems. I think they made the right call...

The Heisman has become a joke. Its nothing more than a popularity contest. Tebow will get it because ESPN said so pre season just like they predicted UF/ OU in the BCS title game pre season.

I think Colt should get it. He's a better QB. Tebow is a good leader and bigger.

I second that. He handled everthing Bama through at him and still threw passes the only spot he could for a TD. As much as it chaps me, if you play with the big boys and still make plays, you deserve it.

Harrell is good no doubt, but (no offense to Texas) he's only faced one good defense all year and we know how well that worked out for him.

If Tim Tebow wins the Heisman, due to a popularity contest or not, he will deserve. Nobody means more to his team, and to his coach, than that kid does. All of us Bama fans who watched Tebow take it on his shoulders to beat us last weekend should know that.

What's more? Now we see why Mike Shula sold his soul to get Tebow. I give Shula credit for making that effort. That kid is a difference maker. I'm not sure if we would have had the complementary crew by now to help Timmy out, but if we had recruited as well, it would be US playing the National Title game, instead of UF.

I'll be glad when he's gone!!

Tebow is THE best player in college football!! He deserves to get another heismen. Every quaterback in Leach's system has put up the same kind of numbers like what was already posted Harrel is a syatem player.

I'm WAAAAY glad we didn't get Timmy too. Again like what was already posted if we had gotten Timmy Shula would still be here and we wouldn't be any closer to a NC as we were when he was here. IMHO

I agree 100%. The Heisman supposedly is given to the best college football player in America. BS. It is given to the most hyped so-called skill player. The Heisman should be given to the best player period.....offense or defense....lineman or back. There has never been a college player more deserving of a Heisman than Lee Roy Jordan. He was the most dominating player ever to walk on a football field. JMHO.

I don't buy that at all.

Tebow likely would have been on the bench because it's taken this long just to get his throwing fundamentals down.

Shula's demise, while evidenced on the field with W's and L's, had to do with more off the field issues. One player wouldn't have corrected those...by a long shot.
