🏈 Just got a note: A-day to be televised on ESPN...

Does anyone know if a spring game has EVER been nationally aired before for any other college programs?

ESPN covered a few last year. Florida, I'm sure...and I think OU as well.

We'll see this become a staple for ESPN and will eventually cover all the SEC schools with the new TV contract.

Seriously, as much as people complain about some of the things ESPN's personalities say they should be thankful for the amount of exposure we are going to get over the next decade with the SEC.

Several have been televised. Ohio State, Nebraska, Florida. South Carolina.

BTW I believe it was last year that OU's first scrimmage got 30,000 fans. That's pretty hardcore too.

I also believe Virginia Tech was the first spring game televised back in 07', might of been 06' but I doubt it.

Great news indeed!! I could catch the game streamed and there's a good posibility somebody is gonna upload it by torrent. I remember OU spring game was uploaded last year...

(FWIW, with ESPN taking over the contract from Raycom for televising games I suspect you and Isra should get a lot more live events this upcoming season than you have in the past.)
Yes, that's my thought as well. A good sign also is the fact that the local TV here at Europe has changed its name from NASN (I think I told ya about that channel sometimes) to ESPN America. The future looks bright for college football overseas...

I just hope y'all can pack the stadium as we did two years ago. Why the hell is T-town so far from my home?

RTR,

Well i'm taking the kids this year and trying to get the old Crimson Convoy too meet up @ IHOP in Pratt-Vegas. Looks like i may have to get an earlier start than last year. I got there @ 11 and was still early.

I want down on the bleechers this year on the 50. west stands. Any word on what time the gates will open. I want the kids to get the full experiance while on campus.

Where's everyone else sitting?

I'm trying to decide if I'm going down Friday night or very early Sat. morning. They are doing a book reception/preimer friday night at the museum for a NC book coming out. Not sure who all will be there, but a buddy will be there and I am thinking about going to see whats it all about...With ESPN being there I think there will be more people showing up just for that fan alone. gotta get there early for the free parking
