I was just thinking to myself. I know our TE are getting better and all. But I think we have a lot of good recievers that could play a starting role. I know this wont happen but do you guys think Julio would be a killer at TE ? I think his size and speed would be amazing at the TE spot. Just my opinion.

Nah Im not saying to do it or nothing. I just think he would fit the role extremely well. I know he won't be going to that position but I think he would do wonders there. But yea I agree, it's not broke. :)

Truth be told, Julio is probably athletic enough to play pretty well at most positions on either side of the ball, but I'm really happy with him at wide receiver. :D

I wasnt saying you where. But i think he is good at WR. Lets keep him there and let him make plays for us.

Yeah, he would be killer at tight end, just like any other wide receiver would be.

Use Julio at an inside position like tight end and he'd probably dominate when it comes to receptions, but so would any other WR playing inside. Stick Bama1966 in that slot just to catch passes and he probably would.

he would match up well agianst LB's....thats for sure......but i dont think it would be much of an advantage when he would have to run block a DE.

And then stick TerryP to run across the middle. And have JPW throw it just high enough that when TP catches it........the video will show!!!
HAHAHAHA

I love you man!

Thought Julio could block decent myself.

He does block well as a wide receiver. I saw a him make a few very nice blocks on some runs to his side this week.

Great blocker. But i would rather have a WR who can run 50 yard routes then a TE who runs for 15 yards.

TE streak my friend. :)

But yea we are looking good at the TE position this year. I like how we are actually putting them to use.

I don't. Sure he could catch the passes, but to me a tight end is a blocker first and receiver second. Not so sure he does that well against SEC defensive ends and is better served as a threat on the outside.

I don't know about moving him to TE im sure he could play the spot, but i prefer to have him as an explosive threat on the outside everytime, instead of just sometimes if he was to be moved to TE. It keeps the other team on their toes knowing we have a threat like him on the outside. What I would like to see though just for curiosity is our true offensive potential. I totally agree with us playing conservative our last 3 games, but i am just a lil bit curious as to how we will look once we open up the whole play book.

The advantages often found in match-ups with TE's on passing routes are also found the majority of the time with WR's lining up in the slot.
