Julio is getting a second opinion on his foot - he doesn't believe it is fractured because he has no pain. He never knew anything was wrong, it was discovered during the routine medical exam at the combine.
It's not uncommon for people to have breaks in non stress bearing bones and not know about it. The most important aspect of the combines is the medical evaluations. THose guys are poked and prodded by 32 doctor's that are all looking to find anything. When Eric Heitman wnet through the combines the teams spent extra time x-raying him about a hurt shoulder that had healed and not bothered him for 6-7 years, and they found some sort of issue with it. I remember him being indignant in the press room saying he hadn't had trouble with it since his sophomore year in high school.
The bottom line is that Julio ran well, much better than people expected, and made himself a lot of money.
