I've said it before: Cam Rob has stunk this year. I've seen people defend him, stating everyone singles out his negatives while ignoring the good things he does. But what you're really doing is acknowledging the fact that he's inconsistent, at best. And that is my beef.
Sure, he makes some great blocks. But he also makes some egregious errors in key moments. How many times has a drive been stalled because of a false start on #74? Many. How many drives in the red zone have resulted in 3 instead of 7 because he whiffed on a block? I counted 2, just last week.
And herein lies my argument. He has REGRESSED this year, compared to years past. Hell, last year he had a sophomore slump and was banged up. His best year was clearly his Frosh year. This is why I believe he should stay an extra year. I think that NFL scouts see his glaring loafs, and he'll be LUCKY to make it in before pick 33 in the draft.
When you have a true frosh on the other side of the line grading out BETTER, and you're supposed to be a shoo-in early draftee junior, there's a problem.
