Monday, via Twitter, Yoder said there were "back channel" communications with boosters from Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Penn State (maybe more) about breaking away from Big Ten (maybe just for 1 year?)

Since then I've seen this story repeated in a few places. I don't know if it's getting traction at these schools but there certainly seems to be some movement considering the moves as an option.

In the world of negotiations in might tip the scale to not cancel. At least it gives the B1G AD's and Presidents something to think about before finalizing the decision about a fall schedule versus spring.

Great point! I think the issue you'd run into there is that the B1G brass has a pretty good understanding of where the CF landscape lies outside of their league... Basically that a legit Fall football season is highly unlikely to play out in any conference. But hey, if they can get something out of it, go for it!

The Big 12 really hasn't been a conference to follow other conferences. We've seen it in how their football season is constructed.

You may be right in the end...but I don't see their presidents as ones who will follow the B1G just because.

A lot of players in a lot of programs have already had it (positive tests.) In some cases, 60+ on a team.

If a school plays in the Big 10 and "joins" the Big 12, doesn't the Big 10 still own TV rights? Will they get paid?
