Wow... I don't buy that for a second.
It's Gary. At times, he makes up stuff as he goes along.

Last night he had an exchange with Brad you probably caught—maybe not—that went along these lines.

G: It's his knee. Tua got up favoring his knee. Did you see that Brad?
B: I couldn't tell Gary.
G: I couldn't either, Brad. I was just guessing.

A few minutes later...

G: Tua having issues with his ankle.

Yeah I caught that and rolled my eyes. Gary had that "well thanks for shitting on my talking point there, Brad" vibe.

And then he laughs (after saying I was "just guessing"). He needs to stop the laughter while a player is down & injured - see Dylan Moses during Texas A&M game - If he (gary) is not being classless, he is certainly giving the appearance of being classless!

@Secondand26, In my opinion, it's all about how he chooses to phrase what he says.

"It's his knee again" versus "Is it his knee again?" Big difference in my view.
I get what you are saying. I was just referring to the fact that several times this year (not just Bama games) he has made light of injuries, especially when he has no idea how serious the injury may be. I would rather have Verne & get rid of Gary, Verne may have made mistakes, but he didn't have an agenda!

@Secondand26, I understood what you were driving at with your earlier comment. His frivolous attitude during the stoppage of plays due to injury is what I thought of a few minutes ago when @XXL TideFan wondered if he was drinking.

Speaking of Verne...

I'm looking at the crew in the light of the "sum of its parts" type of analogy. Brad isn't that good. Gary isn't either. Verne had his issues as well. But, the combination of Verne and Gary was better than the duo this season.

Please don't get me wrong here. The game, and the enjoyment of the game, isn't diminished by who is in the booth. At least not in my world (that's taken decades for me to create.)
