šŸˆ It's wild seeing people who cover college football mad because the President got involved vs happy the B1G might play.

A few comments from Aaron Torres this morning:

The number of people who are paid to cover college football who are more mad the president got involved, than happy that the Big Ten might actually be playing this fall, is truly staggering to me.

At this point, it probably shouldn't be surprising. But it is, nonetheless.
Random: While this is clearly a political move (which is fine btw, I just want football) Im surprised no politician in Pac-12 country has taken college football on as a cause themselves. It's Sept. 2nd and USC still... CAN'T EVEN GET INTO THEIR FACILITY! How does that make sense?
And before anyone tells me "Oh, no one cares about football in Pac-12 country," I can tell you, people in Southern California certainly care about USC football (UCLA, Stanford and Cal not so much), and no HS football impacts thousands of families. This is a slam dunk, honestly

More proof that regardless of what he does, it's the wrong thing to do according to some. These same folks would be running around with the mirthful squirts if Obama held a B1G Football Summit in Chicago this week and tried to broker a deal for a fall season with school presidents and AD's.

Yup! Obama filling out his March Madness bracket was the biggest thing since sliced bread, but Trump gets involved with trying to help out colleges and athletes and it pisses folks off. But hey, it got folks talking didn't it? Boy, a bunch of sorry folks out there to let one man get them all upset like they do about EVERYTHING.

This was a political ploy.

And I'll be elated if the Big Ten plays.

I also want the PAc 12 to play, which nobody here mentions. And if this were about football, and not politics and starting threads with a politically charged thread title, people would talk about that as well. But it's telling that this isn't happening.

Actually thats a good ideal. Get obama and someone on right ...bush maybe...to broker a deal.... be about football then since both are not actively seeking office

Dude, do you have the ability to read? I know someone already brought up to you the point that no one even in the Pac-12 is talking football. USC can't even get into their facility as Terry put it. Players and their parents are after the Big Ten, so of course we are talking about that, not the nobody conference that doesn't even want to play. If they had a contender, like an Ohio State, you would probably have more chatter. I know I know, Oregon, but we all know they are on the outside looking in. I guess you're one of those softies that breaks down at Trump's every move.

obama would not do that , He actually advised LeBron on their 1 day boycott that caused a ripple effect throughout sports . For a guy who was resisting arrest , with a felony warrant , and reaching in his vehicle . Not matter what color you are if you do one or more of these things you might forfeit your life .
