šŸ“” It’s time we have a real, honest and blunt conversation about SEC bias.

One of the things I really despise is the, Team 1 beat a highly ranked team early in the year but now that team isn't highly ranked so it doesn't count argument. There is value in how teams end up ranked at the end of the year, but there is also just as much value (in most cases) in where they were ranked at the beginning. I'm not an SEC fan. Other than Alabama, I wish they'd all lose. Fact is though, there's data behind every door that strongly supports that the SEC is the strongest conference year in and year out. They keep trying to rearrange the postseason puzzle (from the BCS to the 4 team playoff, from the 4 team playoff to expanded playoffs) hoping it will produce a different picture. Spoiler alert, it won't. 4 teams, 8 teams, 12 teams, 16 teams... the SEC is still going to send it's top teams, and much more often than not, one of them will be the last one standing. They can call it unfair, they can whine about it, but all they can do in the end is deal with it.

He is a "If Colt hadn't got hurt" college football would be different kind of guy. He had an up close seat to that ass whoopin and it rules his mind. Alabama and the SEC should have to pay rent for the how much they haunt his dreams.

Espn fired all of their real talent and replaced them with cheaper, no talent hacks, that will tow the company line for their constant political agenda. His only qualification is he played college football with Texas and fits their narrative politically.

Who else is deserving other than UGA? Bama obviously deserved it after winning the SEC. Okie State lost or maybe they would be there instead. Notre Dame doesn't play in a championship game so they really needed 2 of the top 4 and Okie State to lose to have a chance.

Yep, and if they go to a 12 team playoff it will NOT surprise me if one day we have an all SEC final four as a result. Then what?

If people want to fix this then they should look no closer than the mirror. Go to work and earn it. Demand excellence in your program and fork out some $$$ for coaches, facilities etc....

Just like Kanell, he used top 20. When you add those last 5 teams (that the AP and CFB committee uses), how many SEC teams are in the top 25?

There again, there is always something added or left out to make your statistics support the topic at hand.

Isn’t there ever only ā€œbiasā€ when there is a sprinkling of truth behind it? Can anyone honestly say that The SEC has been the strongest conference in college football for a very long time? I have a very good friend of mine that is a Michigan fan, and he and I had this conversation all the time, of course he watches as much football as I do so he’s not an idiot, even he knows the SEC is hands-down the best conference year after year. I would say the Big Ten is the second strongest conference definitely this year but over a long span of time.

Just look at the conferences that are losing teams, you don’t see anyone leaving the Big Ten and you don’t see anyone leaving the SEC, there is a reason for that. There is a reason that there is a saying ā€œ The rich get richerā€œ. The conference is strong because the good players keep coming to the strongest conference and so the merry-go-round keeps on spinning.
