and it is anticlimactic.
The hogs have been humbled. I saw it coming. I posted a few days before Petrino was fired that the Hogs were in for a rough ride. I thought JSU stood a chance of getting them. Anyone who thinks you go through all of the mess that Arkie was experiencing, without suffering a MAJOR mental letdown, is delusional. Remember, Arkie brought in JLS instead of promoting from within, because the coordinators were new. JLS was a stop-gap measure.
To be honest, that is part of the reason I posted the annual thread last week... I was afraid Arkansas would lose to LAMO and I wouldn't get to have my fun. Even after JSU gave them a tough time, they still thought a win over Bama was in the cards. I knew that a loss to LAMO would result in a pack of placid piggies. I hoped it wouldn't come to pass - but it did.
There are a few posters on the various hog forums that are still predicting a win over us - and to be honest, I think it could be closer now than it would have been (if the hogs don't totally collapse)...but I think we still win big.
Dollars to donuts that by Friday there will be a growing contingent of "We will beat Bama" posters... but it will not be very large... not like it would have been if Arkie would have won.
It is almost depressing. I was ready for the hogs to be shaddap again... now they are meek as milk water. It just ain't right.
