I knew Okie was going to be out opponent, but I was really hoping for a better matchup. With Stanford and Michigan State already tied to the Rose there was no possibility of a better game. You have to admit that a Stanford-Bama game would have been one for the ages.

As I said before though, I don't think Alabama comes out flat at all. Being the seniors last game and the way the Iron Bowl was lost, I think they're going to want to go out on a great win. OU is a great program with a lot of history and I like this match-up because all eyes will be on this game because of the two programs history; but I just see Alabama walking away with this by a big margin.

Plus, we need to get revenge for those games in 02 and 03.

Big Game Bob

I'll bet "Big Game Bob" wishes he would have kept him damn mouth shut about the SEC now... Let's see if the press reminds him of his statements during bowl week! :no-no::biggrin_blue:

i'm happy that we get a rematch for those games in 02 and 03 and i'm glad for the players that they get to play in such a game, but i have to be honest. I reflexively made a farting sound with my mouth when i heard that we were playing OU. they just haven't really been much to care about the last few years, and there seemed like several other matchups that would have been more fun to watch.

but whatever, rtr.

Wouldn't be surprised if we drew the biggest audience of all the BCS games, with the exception of the BCS title game. With this being two big programs matching up, and being on a Tuesday night, lots of eyes will be on it despite people thinking it will be a blow out. I just hope the team plays pissed off and wants to make a statement, rather than mope around and wish they were in the BCS title.

i don't think it will be a blowout at all. they are a pretty good passing team. that's something we haven't faced that much this year, and it's the weak point of our defense. (although after watching Auburn's seemingly unstoppable running game i'm not sure which part of the defense is the best). I wouldn't be surprised if this was a close game at all.

I think it depends on which QB they're starting. If its Tanner, then the defense is definitely going to load up to stop the read option. If its Blake, I am still not convinced he can pass on 'Bama. I've seen him under pressure all year and he reminds me of Jeven Snead (08-09 Ole Miss QB). Just seems to buckle under pressure, but just a little harder to get down.

Wait... what?! They're a pretty good passing team and we haven't faced much of that this year? Almost every single team we've played has a better passing game than OU... Virginia Tech, A&M, Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi State, and freakin Colorado State all have more passing yards and TDs. Auburn is damn near identical in passing yardage and thats with primarily just one QB. Hell Colorado State had like 3 times as many yards haha

OU is a running team that uses the run to set up passing and Bell is far from a great passer. Both QBs use the read option tho. Im not saying its gonna be a blowout but that passing thing threw me off.
