Just got back from seeing this. How in the world Marielle Heller doesn't at least get a nod for director of the year defies any logic. What a beautiful tribute to the man who raised us (boomers...) more than our parents care to think! She so skillfully weaved his lessons with real life that one cannot help but seeing him or herself in this movie. Love, love, love, LOVE this movie! GO. SEE. IT!

I met my wife in 1972. She came down with her sister and family, they move to Delta, Alabama. The only channel they could get was the channel 7 PBS. On Sunday the PBS station would play Mr. Roger back to back to back all day long. I told her if we got married that I hope our kids would only watch the Captain. That didn't work! I would watch him with our grand kids.
