throw a few more mid/deep routes in the last game and take some riskier throws. we were hashing this out a couple of weeks back and it has been one of my few concerns about this team that he seemed to be losing his touch on the longer routes and overthrowing them. He did much better in the later parts of his duty against vandy.

the play where maze or hanks (can't remember) got the pass int. call was a good ball but the player got held up... that would have been 6 pts.

i think AJ has a natural ability to throw the long ball and that's what has the potential to separate him statistically and historically from our other recent QBs. i hope he gets to use that talent in some of these big games coming up.

also... a lot of credit should go to the offensive line for what i think is one of the better pass-blocking units i've ever seen for Alabama. kudos to them.

DeAndrew White looks like he could turn out to be AJ's "Julio" in that he can go up and get it out of the air with the jumpballs like Julio could and also stretch the field. I just wonder if our screen passes will work against LSU's fast linebackers. That's the game where I think we're going to have to go downfield with White and Maze.

i agree....we will have to hit a few deep routes to open up the run game and the underneath stuff.
