i was certainly surprised on my birthday when i got the following presents.....

the next 3 came together in a package:

(the white spot on the lower-left is one of the lights from my ceiling fan; the picture was laying on my bed at the time)

in that pic (taken tuesday) i hadn't worn them yet. but i wore them to work yesterday to test them out. they were a bit tight around the forefoot, but after a short while they stretched out and were very comfortable. they are super light, too.

i have another pair of 'BAMA nikes from a couple (maybe 3) years ago, but they weren't the most comfortable things so i didn't wear them much. i've also got a pair of "Chuck Taylor" style high-top 'BAMA sneakers. i wore them once then decided that the soles had no cushioning and were not comfortable at all. so i only wore them once.

i guess i need to start a 'BAMA shoe shelf.

thank you for posting that. i remember listening to him and watching him on tv with my granddad back in the 70s. brings back some great memories.
