Win over 3 months.... or so....
A sec tournament title has the AB.....nice perk...
But anything can happen on that one long weekend.... that prevents the best from winning the banner....

For Alabama? Man, it's been a long time since either.

It's difficult to imagine now, but remember 1987, 1989, 1990, and 1991? I think Kentucky can't count their tourney win 1988. The Tide was the only game in town back in the day.

For the record, I'm not a fan of the "It just means more" slogan.

I'd say winning the tourney as it proves you can win up to 5 games in 5 days not to mention getting hot at the end of the season.

Clearly it doesn't mean much that much...

In my mind there is no question SEC regular season and it's not even close. Two month body of work versus 3-4 days.

Correct, but flukes in both conference and big dance tournaments are somewhat normal. As so many others have stated, the regular season shows a greater body of work over a longer time.

Back in the day that was the only way to get into tournament. Basketball began as a tournament game. It is who is best at the end of the year that counts. Last one standing

We're not so sure yet. The ugly orange have a share of that title and they're still alive in the tourney.
