One thing Alabama never had to go through is element or earning respect. You have the respect of the entire football world and the Tide deserves it.

Utah's football program has been slowly elevating since about 02. If one thing will happen from tonight's game, it is that our recruiting, which has always been decent, will elevate. I am proud of the Utes and to be able to play Alabama has been the highlight since I have been a fan (my whole life).

I knew we had a chance but it was a tough chance.

This is one of the finest non bi*ching boards I have ever been to. You accept the outcome of the game without blaming for days.

With all your underclassmen, I see you guys as next year's number one out of the gate and to the finish.

Roll Tide and Go Utes!!!

Maybe we can get a home and home (within the next 20 years LOL),

Thanks but our underclassmen give us a shot of hope. We are losing three All American's in Smith, Caldwell and Johnson. Next year will be exciting but we are probably two years away. Congrats to your undefeated season, although you will not end up with they credit deserved your team has done plenty for your program's future.

Congrats to your team Rick, I have been a Bama fan since birth and usually view things through my crimson colored glasses but tonight Utah gained my respect. You might hear some people blame the game on the O line situation but it will likely not come from people on this board, I have always said that you play the game with what you have and violations and injuries affect teams on both sides and are unfortunately part of the game. Roll Tide and congrats again.

maybe you can remind some of those other boards that took so much glee in our loss! that Bama fans try to be classy and we understand what it is to win and to lose graciously! We will always support the Crimson Tide we have won alot of big games and we will win again! Be Humble because 2 years ago BSU beat Oklahoma and they sound like idiots! Congrats!

Classy post Rick. Your Utes deserved it tonight and played lights out! Congratulations! Tonight's loss hurst for sure, but there are no excuses. Y'all beat us staight up. As you mentioned, I like our (Bama's) chances for next year as well, though I don't think we will be number 1 out of the chute. That will be reserved for USC or UF likely. Meanwhile, I present this:

We came in tonight ranked number 4 and 12-1. We beat two teams that were top ten when we beat them (Clemson and Georgia) and one #16 (LSU). Prior to tonight we had only loss and that was to the current number 1 team (Florida) and it was in the SEC Championship Game. Utah just beat the team with that impressive track record, is now 13-0 and is the only undefeated team in the nation. I think Utah deserves absolutely full consideration for at least a share of the National Championship!
