It depends on the locations of the bowls. It's tough (not impossible) to have the Rose as the early game due to the parade and time difference. They also try to maximize TV viewership.

All i know-is...i hate any start after 7 est....( sugar is a 845 est start)
I hate 4 hour games....

So...thank the CF committee for the early game.... i can finish the sugarbowl second half with a nice cup of coffee the next morning on the dvr with no commercials...

The Michigan State game in Dallas wasn't that late as I recall, perhaps because it was on Central, had plenty of time to ring in the new year nearby with some downtrodden MSU fans.

The last Clemson game in New Orleans was the later game - after the Rose Bowl UGA vs Oklahoma.

Yeah, I watched the Clemson/OK game which was the earlier game in the Miller Light RV outside AT&T stadium. We were the later game but was 7pm CST.
