First of all, congrats from Spain for the Crimson Nation all over your country. One of the best games I had ever watched for the Crimson Tide in recent years. And this is a a dream come true for me (and not to mention what it means to y'all), watching the Crimson Tide playing at Pasadena for a National Championship as we did more than 80 years ago, is unbelievable... Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win then! :a:
Well, going back to the question, I really see Texas as a good fit for us. Their defense is not so dominant nor powerfull as everybody tried to sell on us during the entirely regular season (just good numbers on the sheet). They are fast, athletic and physical, but nothing we've ever seen before around this conference. I'm not so scared on them.
On the other side of the ball, the rushing attack is non-existent and we will only have to focus on the receiving corp (trio Jordan Shipley, big-target Malcolm Williams and James Kirkendoll underneath) and the connection between them and Colt McCoy, but Nebraska slowed them down easily, putting some looks of five and seven defensive backs. And quite frankly, I don't see why 'Bama couldn't enjoy the same success, because our back-seven is much more talented than Nebraska's one, that's for sure...
Hope BCS voters don't select TCU in some minutes, because IMHO the Horned Frogs would be a tougher matchup for us than Texas. But this team focused (and witch coach Saban at the helm, I don't have any doubt), is really very difficult to beat...
Roll Tide babies, it's nice to be a Crimson Tide right now...
