🏈 Is Texas a good fit for us at Pasadena?

First of all, congrats from Spain for the Crimson Nation all over your country. One of the best games I had ever watched for the Crimson Tide in recent years. And this is a a dream come true for me (and not to mention what it means to y'all), watching the Crimson Tide playing at Pasadena for a National Championship as we did more than 80 years ago, is unbelievable... Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win then! :a:

Well, going back to the question, I really see Texas as a good fit for us. Their defense is not so dominant nor powerfull as everybody tried to sell on us during the entirely regular season (just good numbers on the sheet). They are fast, athletic and physical, but nothing we've ever seen before around this conference. I'm not so
scared on them.

On the other side of the ball, the rushing attack is non-existent and we will only have to focus on the receiving corp (trio Jordan Shipley, big-target Malcolm Williams and James Kirkendoll underneath) and the connection between them and Colt McCoy, but Nebraska slowed them down easily, putting some looks of five and seven defensive backs. And quite frankly, I don't see why 'Bama couldn't enjoy the same success, because our back-seven is much more talented than Nebraska's one, that's for sure...

Hope BCS voters don't select TCU in some minutes, because IMHO the Horned Frogs would be a tougher matchup for us than Texas. But this team focused (and witch coach Saban at the helm, I don't have any doubt), is really very difficult to beat...

Roll Tide babies, it's nice to be a Crimson Tide right now...

I agree firestorm. Texas looked like they were running Florida's offense last night without the battering ram known as Tebow. If their offense does not develop a running game, I forsee a similar championship game that we celebrated last night. The exception: Grade A Beef instead of Gator tail on the menu.

Being in Big 12 country, growing up a Baylor fan, and having season tickets to BU football for as long as I can remember, I've had a chance to see Texas this year and in past years up close multiple times. What happened last night is they got punched in the mouth by the best D in the Big 12. Plain and simple. Nebraska has one of the top 5 D's in the country and they're probably in the same realm as we are. They don't have a consistent run game, but they have a smorgasbord of great receivers and Colt is no pushover. Their D is pretty good, but I think our offense is capable of scoring on them with the talent that they have. Fact of the matter is that if Nebraska had half the offense that we do -- poor playcalling and all -- they would've won last night. I think Texas is a great match-up for us and I think we should pull it out.
