They are going wrong in having a attitude that making the wrong call on a Bang-Bang play is high treason or that overtuning a call after further review is a sin.
Are those wearing stripes the only ones who do not know that they will blow calls on the field. Lord knows the rest of the nation knows that they will. The refs have a hard job and frankly do much better than most of us could, but they need help and that is ok. They put in video review BECAUSE they miss calls, so use it.
Use it, but use it to protect the integrity of the results of the play on the field, not the integrity of a human's doomed effort to call the perfect game.
A call is not right because the booth says it is. Its just perminant because the booth says it is. Now, "the ruling on the field is confirmed" sound more like "because I said so that's why" than something that makes anyone feel better about the game.
At some point they will need to consider just getting rid of replay, if it is not used as it should be. I miss the days when the refs just stunk, as opposed to the stinking and being corrupt.
