📝 Is Robert Nkemdiche de-commiting from Clemson? 'Nothing final yet'

My gut is that Saban probably never lost touch with this guy...I'd absolutely say we're in the running, especially since his mother endorses BAMA.

Now, I'd take this guys signature in a heartbeat, but something tells me he doesn't end up with BAMA.

About two months ago, somewhere around that area at least, Nkemdiche made it known to several schools he was still interested even though he was still committed.

In a way you're right; schools haven't lost contact with him. However, it wasn't because the schools didn't give up, per se, it was as much or more of Robert not wanting them to give up.

Around the same time Robert let that be known Dee Liner did the same with some schools around the SE.

At least that's what I'm told.

I'm of the opinion we'll sign around four defensive lineman and RN isn't one of them. I hope Paige qualifies. We've got DeMarcus in and then there's Liner. Possibly A'Shawn Robinson?

Is Liner worth the character risk?

I was thinking it, but didn't want to say it because I REALLY don't know the situation that well. But Nkemdiche really does kind of seem to like attention a lot. Hell, didn't Clemson allow like 3 of his buddies to come aboard when he originally commit to them?

There's certainly ample reason to suspect it would be a gamble. From what I've read I'd think it wasn't worth the risk. We know Saban can "lay down the rules" and demand they be adhered to. We also know if they aren't a kid is going to get the boot.

Perhaps those rules are have been lain out and Liner says "yes sir?"

All I can say with certainty is he let a few schools know he wanted to continue to be in their plans and he did take an unofficial visit when we played Miss. State. That would tend in indicate the staff is willing to work with him.

From what I'm hearing from people at my high school where Dee Liner plays, his attitude has taken a turn for the better. Him getting kicked off the team and having the seniors vote that he not let back on the team opened his eyes. He begged and begged and they finally let him back on after seeing how willing he was to change. I would absolutely love to see this kid in a crimson uniform.
