Have you ever seen (or been in) that social experiment with a group of people where one whispers a sentence to another and how different that sentence is by the time the last person repeats what they were told/whispered?
Same situation here—almost. This is just the 'net version.
Saban said last week (press conference) that two players were out sick and they'd probably be back at practice the next day. One of those guys happened to be Dont'a.
Immediately, as in seconds, I saw threads asking about "Dont'a back?" And, here we are today with him back, in practice, in pads...
He's assumed a "coaching role" on the sidelines. Peer review might be a good way to describe it as well. He spends a lot of time with the defense talking about what they've seen and what he's noticed during practices and games.
As much as I hate him being injured and lost for this season (imagine this defense with him!!!!) he's teaching and more importantly learning a lot this season.
It's going to make his transition into RoMac's role as the signal caller for the defense next season a lot smoother.
