🏈 Is AJ McCarron college football's most valuable player? Lou Holtz pleads his case

I think he's right for the very first time!
Ultimately, Rece Davis would rule in May's favor, stating that McCarron is not the most valuable quarterback, but is "as valuable as any player in college football."
How can Rece rule again Lou on this?

The argument Lou should have made is that Manziel is valuable in that he elevates a 7-6 or 8-5 team to a level to be a 10-3 or 11-2 team. McCarron elevates a very good team who would finish 10-3 or 11-2 to a level where they become a National Champion. That provides a lot more value than what the other players bring to the table.

Don't worry, Coach. I got this.

Before Blake Sims started showing that he too can run the Alabama offense effectively, I would have voted A.J. the most valuable QB on any 2013 team, but, after the GA State and Kentucky games, I would still give Alabama a respectable chance of winning out even if A.J. went down.
