The last two games it appears the opposing teams game plan on Defense was to minimize explosive plays and make us ā€œdriveā€ the field. Both teams had the horses to do that and both did it well if you go back and look at the stats.

Now... it’s awful hard to score 50+ points if you are not doing some of that scoring in 3 plays and a few minutes at most. So it’s no surprise that our offensive performance shrank.

The interesting thing is... when a team does that to us the possession clock tends to favor us and our Defense... hence the much better (dominant) effort we saw by our own Defense in each of those games.

Great point....MSU had 3 plays each in first to possessions...bama had 12-13 minutes of clock time....
And was driving on 3rd possession...if I remember right....and was driving on 4th til fumble...or int...being patient...
