🏈 Insider Info Wrong About Everything

That's the last time I ever listen to insiders tell us about our team. Here's a list of the 'golden nuggets' we got from our inside sources:

- Jake Coker is horrible, slow, and can't hit water if he fell out of a boat (has looked more than solid)
- Our defense is nasty and possibly better than 2011 (looks as porous or moreso than last season)
- JK Scott is incredible (Herbstreit says he's been struggling all camp, and has shanked twice)
- Offensive line is much improved (can't pass block for shit)

Looks like we're pretty solid, but not great. Teams will score on us with relative ease. We're gonna need to lean on our clunky offense to win.
Probably not a championship team

@uofarolltide, Wisky had 268 yards total and dinked and dunked 39 passes at 5.8 ypa for 228 yards. We didn't get gashed.
Coker was late on some throws. On the sacks, he held the ball too long. OL aren't expected to hold blocks for 7-8 seconds. Coker played well enough to stay at the starting spot.
First game jitters for some young kids and they adjusted and will adjust.

Um yeah when we face an offense that's NOT from the stone age, and actually likes throwing the ball instead of running right into our line, you will see how porous it is. They got a lot of passing yards on us for having slow receivers, a mediocre qb, etc.

You came to this conclusion after 1 game? Wait a few games and then see if you have the same thinking.

With regards to the insider info, you have to take that stuff with a grain of salt.

We played a lot of zone in the first half. I think that could have been to protect our secondary guys not named Cyrus. I believe Stave had 146 yards in the first half and finished with 228. We blitzed more and went man more in the second half.

Last year people were naturally upset about giving up the deep ball. Last night we give up a lot of underneath stuff and only give up 10 points with the 1s in the game, and our defense is worse than last years? Some people aren't happy unless we give up 0 points and 0 first downs.

What we need is a mix of RTB and Woolly, and I believe this forum is more likely to achieve that, but some of you have to be more open minded to opinions you dont agree with. (either that or be at ease with the fallout of not agreeing)

Did notice a marked diff when Master Baterman took over. There was a bit of a let down from the O. He is much quicker of foot than Coker, but his jitters caused some missed reads (cannot believe he just missed them) But for his 1st game doing something other than holding (and be accused of being the reason for AG's missed FG's) and playing with mostly 2 - 3s against the other team's 1's.. not bad.
I Cannot wait to the see improvement next week. Should be signs of things to come. ROLL TIDE ALABAMA, ROLL TIDE

First of all.. It's first game. We didn't get aggressive until second half.. We have new DBs back there... Give them time to 'click'.... Last year it took arkansas game for the team to get it... I think we'll get it either this week or next week. This post gets a thumb down from me.

I thought we looked pretty good. Coker didn't can it up and the 1's only gave up 10 points. The running backs looked good and the receivets made some plays. My only real complaint is that we couldnt get much pressure on their QB. The first showing went better than I expected. Wisky is not a cream puff gimme game.
