Both really nice bikes.

$20 a year gets me access to a lot of trails around here ($1 per day without pass.) The one picture below I can get to without getting on major thoroughfare. I normally get off work when most folks are still sleeping so I'll get in 8-10 miles in my neighborhood before the sun comes up. Then there's options like this one during the day.

(I play a lot of golf in the same neighborhood.)

Wow! Envious here. Best trail in driving distance I know of is Chief Ladiga, a converted train track. It’s 33 miles of asphalt in Alabama and connects to the Silver Comet at Georgia state line. There it’s 67 miles of concrete and ends north of Atlanta.

That particular park has two sections; one that's asphalt (shorter) and the trail pictured above. I don't know your history. Mine? I really got into biking when I was in Tuscaloosa: Sokol in Northport for trails. In 2014, maybe 2015, I hit the trail at Hurricane Creek in Holt. Not a bad little track there as well.

On the Cobb County end of the Silver Comet, they have been building connectors and feeders to other trails for some years now. The overall plan is pretty impressive. The rails to trails movement has yielded some really good conversions. If you ever decide to venture out on a biking vacation, the C&O trail, which is the old towpath of the C&O canal, is pretty neat. I've hiked a portion of that, it runs over 150 miles from DC to Maryland, I picked it up in Harpers Ferry, WV.
