šŸ’¬ In light of the recent tragedies ... Comfortable w/ SEC athletes protesting/demonstrating like seen?

A time and place for everything.

Seeing people like Carmelo speak out on Instagram is one thing. Seeing players wearing protest jersey's—many before any facts are in about the stories—seems out of place.

Ask me if I thought what happened at Mizzou made sense
I was thinking about the same thing a little earlier but was going to put it in form of a question.

What good came from that "public display?" We became aware of how off base some of those in leadership were at Mizzou: see Melissa Click.

Its their right just like any other citizen.
Speaking out on a social media site is their right. No doubt about that.

At a game, where they are representing a University? I've not made up my mind but like I alluded to earlier ... it's just something that doesn't seem apropos.

Derek Mason touched on this yesterday during his time at SEC Media Days. He did very well in my opinion. One thing he stressed was intelligent commentary—a chance for kids to offer some intelligent insight. Is that accomplished wearing some t-shirts?

On basically any issue I had rather hear/participate in reasoned discourse rather than see the snappy slogans/emblems etc. I think they have a right to discuss the issues just like anything but I don't want to see it become disruptive to the process that they are engaged in.

And in light of this, Bron, D-Wade and company just got up and made a "valiant" plea to end the violence. Oh, they hit on the "retaliation", but they made a point to memorialize all the names of the high profile thugs that were rightfully shot while either committing a violent crime, resisting arrest, and mostly a combination of the two.

How bout calling a spade a spade and start training and educating an overwhelming majority of blacks how to not be fukking thugs?

The Dallas Police Chief nailed it the other day.

So let me make sure I understand.....train all blacks how to act and problem solved?

Ok, so let me rebut... on my phone, busy at work, and typed that in a hurry.

What I was TRYING to say was: How bout attacking the thug "fukk da po-lice" mentality that has been perpetuated and glorified in black culture thru literally all forms of media, but especially music, social media, and sports entertainment for the last 3 decades.

So not all, no. But an overwhelming majority.

Statistical fact: 70%+ of severe crimes (murder, rape, theft, etc) in New York City alone are committed by blacks. The numbers might vary slightly in different cities, and I haven't checked the national average, but it's obviously a majority.

It's like Chris Rock said once, in response to blacks complaining about being "targeted by police"...

"Well, maybe if you stop doing stupid shit, the cops won't have a reason to arrest yo' ass!"

So because I state and quote scientific and sociological truth, I'm racist?

Yeah, okay. Go tell that to the black guy, one of my best friends, that married my wife and I. Or one of my other best friends, also a black guy, that got me into coaching football with him. Or the black girls I've dated in the past. They're not black to me. They're just civilized, normal people with a better tan than I have...lol. But they, along with the Morgan Freemans and the Chris Rocks of the world, will be the first to tell you that black people as a whole get a really bad rap because of the rampant thug culture that has spread like cancer throughout the black community over the last 2-3 decades.

Fact: although only accounting for 13% of the US population, 52% of murders alone nationwide are committed by blacks. That number is grossly higher in larger metro areas.

Why is there such a high percentage of murder by such a small percentage of the population? Please tell me it's the fault of "white privilege", and I'll tell you you're a liberal fool.
